Long before automated check-in and liquids in zip-lock bags there was a time when the journey mattered more than the destination. This video is an ode to those glory years of aviation; when the airport was alive with mystique and prestige.

We travelled Australia by train, plane, helicopter, boat and mini van to capture this ‘Journey Beyond’. The Ghan & Indian Pacific are Australia’s great train journeys. Along the way we experienced the awe-inspiring Katherine Gorge, picturesque Blue Mountains, a sweltering Alice Springs, the otherworldly Coober Pedy and the boozy Barossa Valley.

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..

Guy Pearce unveils a side of himself that has never been seen before, in the comically manic clip for his new single, “Fly All The Way”.
Says Guy, “I knew I wanted to do something pretty nutty for this song and when Tim suggested we do a video centred around infomercial world I realised the idea was born. Tim took the rather petulant and unhinged nature of this song to a whole new level.”
Asked how the idea for the ‘Fly All The Way’ clip came about, Tim says, “This video is an expression of my love for bleak dystopian sci-fi films & Australian morning TV infomercials. It’s a winning combination that we don’t see enough of nowadays.”

This video is dedicated to the hard working men and women of the Australian Tax Office. These brave public servants truly keep our great island nation afloat. As a director, tax avoidance is an important topic I’ve wanted to weave into music videos for quite some time. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of artists that like to draw attention to their accounting practices. Luckily, Client Liaison were excited by the concept.

Tokyo is a city like no other; a sprawling metropolis that never ceases to amaze. In this video I wanted to explore the many contrasts of life in the city; between the young and the old, the traditional and the contemporary, the fast and the slow, the eastern and western influences.
This film was commissioned by Keio University for their ‘Shaping History, Shaping Tomorrow’ campaign.
Short Listed for the Cannes Young Director Award 2013.

I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to create another music video with Guy (especially after the wackiness of our previous effort for ‘Fly All the Way’). He’s an amazing collaborator and so supportive and trusting of my ideas. We wanted ‘Truth’ to be more of a stripped back performance clip revealing Guy as the rockstar he’s perhaps not best known as. Though there’s only 2 shots in this video, there were a lot of moving parts and complicated elements at play; there are over 400 lighting cues that were mostly pre-programmed and sync’d to the track by lighting designer Andre Vanderwert (who I made one of my earliest music videos with). The camera was mounted on this amazing Frankenstein of a dolly by grips Dan Mitton & Dane Clarke and choreographed to move fluidly around the Docklands Studios space by cinematographer extraordinaire Ed Goldner (my first time working with these guys). Another first time collaborating with stylist Eugyeene Teh who did a brilliant job of dressing Guy as the suave rock-dog he was born to be. We managed to pull together an absolute dream team of a crew, most of whom I’ve worked with many times before: legendary producers Jamie Houge & Ruth Morris are frequent collaborators of mine, as are my favourite 1st AD Robbie McEwan, 1st AC Austin Haigh, Gaffer Tom Savige and the gorgeous Dan Stonehouse & Gabe Russo at Crayon. I even managed to cast my entire family in our little background choir! Working with Guy is a total dream – he brings an infectious level of passion and professionalism to set and an incredibly rare honesty and earnestness to his music.

16 hours of live broadcast, unhinged, improv comedy / home shopping channel.
eBay’s HUMP SHOPPING NETWORK is a 4x4hr Facebook LIVE informercial broadcast, produced in collaboration with VICE. Aptly described by Buzzfeed Australia as “barely scripted, brash and brutally unhinged”, the show combined improvised comedy with morning show tropes to promote eBay deals—testing the very limits of Facebook’s new LIVE streaming capability to successfully crack open the format for brands.
